Fancy drinking a coffee that is directly breaking down boundaries? You're in the right place!

Robusta/Canephora has been given a bad reputation for a long time. If you'd like to understand why and why it matters...deep dive coming soon. But what we can tell you right now is that our specialty Robusta/Canephora from the amazing Nafeesa Esmail is absolutely delicious. Dried fruit, chewy, spicy with a hint of strawberry. Grown in the Central region of Uganda, specifically the district of Mukono, and processed using the mosto aerobic natural process. Deliciously moreish and comforting.

Nafeesa is the founder of ASISI Coffee and ASISI challenges everything you thought you knew about Robusta/Canephora. Grown under the shade of indigenous forest on her farm in Mukono, this coffee is the result of a careful balance between conservation and cultivation.

Nafeesa is an interdisciplinary conservation scientist working across research, community-based conservation and women's leadership in Africa. That work directly shapes how her coffee is grown. The indigenous forest trees shading her crop conserve local wildlife and their habitats, and every cup reflects that commitment.

Coffee has been cultivated in Mukono for generations. Smallholder farmers tend plots that have been in their families for decades, passing down knowledge of the land and the unique Robusta/Canephora varieties that thrive here. Alongside them, larger estates bring modern processing infrastructure, creating a coffee economy that supports hundreds of thousands of livelihoods.

We are so proud to be offering a specialty Robusta/Canephora, especially one that tastes this unbelievably delicious. We are incredibly proud to work with women like Nafeesa who are directly breaking down the boundaries surrounding Robusta/Canephora whilst creating more opportunities for women in the Ugandan coffee industry.

So not only can you grab yourself this delicious coffee, but if you fancy something another, meet Rise and Grind. A 50% Specialty Robusta/Canephora and 50% Specialty Arabica blend designed to get you up, out and living your best life.
